Jazmyn grew up in Southwestern PA and her strong ties to the community led to her attending Washington and Jefferson College where she received a bachelor's degree in philosophy. While there, she served as Vice President – Standards of Kappa Kappa Gamma Sorority, she was heavily involved in W&J's Student Government, and she played forward for the Women's Basketball Team.
Jazmyn has always been committed to serving others and, as a result, Jazmyn was an intern at the Domestic Service Center in Washington County where she helped victims of intimate partner violence receive necessary supports and services to help keep them safe and protected.
Jazmyn has also prioritized being a positive role model for teenagers. For more than five years, she was a coach for the Carlynton High School Women's Basketball program. Jazmyn's lived-experiences have taught her to never back down from a challenge and, even after distinguishing herself in her undergraduate studies, Jazmyn was determined to broaden her horizons.
Jazmyn acquired her master’s degree in law and public policy from California University of Pennsylvania and then furthered her education by gaining her Paralegal Certification from Duquesne University. With multiple degrees in higher education, Jazmyn started her legal career by working in asbestos law for a local Pittsburgh law firm. Her skills and acumen led to the Pennsylvania Superior Court hiring Jazmyn as a clerk where she expanded her experience by learning the nuances and procedures of the appellate court system. Jazmyn joined Hickton + Stein Law Group as a Paralegal and she plans to attend law school in the near future.
